All Region for former Glenforest star
Jarvis Jackson, a Spartanburg Methodist College sophomore guard from Columbia and former Glenforest School stand-out, was chosen as a Second Team All Region Ten Player in the National Junior College Athletic Association. "If you're earning second team all-region, you're one of the ten best players in our league. It's a great honor for him," said Rob Burke, head men's basketball coach at Spartanburg Methodist College, noting that Jackson has particularly stood out on the team since January. "In order to win, you've got to have good players on your team. That's how it has been and Jarvis is a huge focal point on that." Jackson scored 17 points in the first game of the Region Ten Tournament at Kinston, where the Pioneers defeated Rockingham Community College 81-69. During the regular season, the Pioneers were 12-4 in the conference and 20-10 overall.
