Taking your dog for a walk could be cruel

Is it safe to take your dog for a walk every day? It's 100 outside. The heat index is 105. Even though it's a bit cooler in the morning and afternoon, imagine wearing a fur coat and walking on the hot pavement with your bare feet.

The general rule is if it is too hot for you or your feet, it is too hot for the dog. If you must take your dog on walks during these hot days of summer, take plenty of water with you and make many stops for the dog to stop and drink.
