ReDo Remix! Home Improvement Show comes to State Fairgrounds

Columbia's only remodeling event is bigger and better than ever! ReDo Remix! will be held August 18-20 at the State Fairgrounds-at both the Cantey and Ellison Buildings. Sponsored by grand sponsor McGuinn Group as well as MD Masonry and Creative Tile Distributors, ReDo Remix! will provide consumers with tips and products related to home improvement, remodeling, landscaping from exhibits and seminars to giveaways and special promotions. A special celebrity appearance by remodeling expert Jim Parks, host of HGTV's New Spaces , will add to the fun and excitement on Saturday and Sunday.

Parks will host a variety of activities including Homeowner Quiz-o-Rama, an interactive gameshow and contest with great prizes such as a set of house plans from McGuinn Custom Home System ($450 value), a Suntech Tubular Skylight from Columbia Wholesale ($200 value), and $500 worth of home window tinting from Sun Shades and Graphics. Other great prizes will be provided by Carolina Faux, Creative Tile, Top Hat Sweepers, Guardian Fence Suppliers and The Lite House. Remodeling 101 will give homeowners a chance to ask remodeling questions of both Parks and local experts from the Remodelors Council of Greater Columbia.

ReDo Remix! will also feature other special promotions.

Exhibits and Seminars

Consumers can learn how to tackle home improvement projects through informative exhibits and seminars from remodeling experts.

Seniors Day

Friday, August 18 is Seniors Day, which will offer older adults special seminars and promotions. Plus, those who are 65 years or older will receive $2 off admission at the gate on Friday.

"Kids' Konstruction"

On Saturday, August 19 from 9am-noon, kids can put their creative minds to work by building wooden racecars and sailboats donated by Lowe's. Kids' Konstruction will be located outside in the big tent. Drinks will be provided.

Remodelors Garage Sale

Over 5,000 square feet of remodeling items such as new and used windows, doors, sinks, and tubs as well as other building and household items that can be purchased at low prices. Proceeds will benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Discounts and Giveaways

A ReDo Remix! ticket stub can save an attendee up to $300 when redeemed for 10% off at either of Creative Tile Distributors' two locations. Other giveaways, held every 15 minutes during the show, range from cash prizes and gift certificates to other useful household items and remodeling tools.

Show hours are Friday, 11 am-9 pm; Saturday, 9 am-8 pm; and Sunday, 11 am-5 pm. Admission is $7 for adults and free for children 12 and under during show weekend. Discounted tickets can be purchased through August 17 at NBSC locations in Columbia and Lexington. One dollar per ticket sold at NBSC will benefit the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation.
