Miss Freeman and Mr. Hair exchange vows July 29, 2006

Mrs. Brandon Thomas Hair
Julie Valiska Freeman of Chapin, South Carolina, and Brandon Thomas Hair of Graniteville, South Carolina, were married July 29, 2006, at Main Street Methodist Church.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. William Thomas Freeman of Chapin, is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Julius Gilbert Freeman and Mrs. Charles Schumpert Coleman Sr. and the late Mr. Coleman of Chapin. The bride earned a B.S. in early childhood education from the College of Charleston and is employed by the Greenville County School District.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Eugene Hair of Graniteville, is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Hiram Julian Redd of Graniteville and Mrs. Carl Mabeary Hair and the late Honorable Carl Hair of Aiken, South Carolina. The bridegroom earned a B.S. in business administration from the College of Charleston and a masters degree in health administration from the Medical University of South Carolina. He is employed as the assistant executive director of Countryside Village retirement community in Easley, South Carolina.

The bride was given in marriage by her parents. She wore an ivory, duchess satin gown by the Allure Bridal line. The gown featured a strapless neckline that led into a low V-shaped back. The bodice was accented with beaded lace around the basque waist. From the waist, the skirt elegantly draped with the help of inverted pleats. An alternating pattern of covered buttons and crystal accents aligned the entire back of the gown all the way down to the end of the cathedral train.

The maid of honor was Lindsay Sarah Moon. The attendants were Sara Elizabeth Hair, sister of the bridegroom; Kristin Marie DeVivo; Katherine Durham Wilkinson; Jessica Elizabeth Forsberg; Jessica Jan Pott; and Karen Elizabeth Taylor.

The bridegroom's father served as best man. The groomsmen were William Thomas Freeman Jr., brother of the bride; Lawton Andrew Brown; Brady Ryan Thomas; Jeffrey Robert Bachelder; Russell Toxey Smith; James Chapman Shearouse; and Brian Matthew Powell.

The ringbearers were Coleman Zeigler Bennett, William Brown Bennett, Jacob Dawson Collins, and Patrick Newton Grier Jr.

The flower girls were Sydney Alese Redman, Anna Young Bennett, Payton Jolie Tyler, and Emily Caroline Tyler.

A reception followed the ceremony at the Palmetto Club. After a honeymoon trip to Negril, Jamaica, the couple will reside in Greenville, South Carolina.

Pre-wedding parties given in honor of the bride included a Pampered Chef Party given by Mrs. Beth Wilkinson Mrs. Susan Walsh, Mrs. Rose Forsberg, Mrs. Beth Taylor, and Mrs. Carolyn Pott.

A kitchen shower was given by the second grade teachers of Newberry Elementary School.

A linen shower was given by Mrs. Maria Anderson, Mrs. Debbie Hamilton, and Mrs. Emily Catoe.

A miscellaneous shower was given by Mrs. Kim Lee, Mrs. Dawn Anderson, and Mrs. Terri Saxon.

A cook-out in honor of the couple was given by Mr. and Mrs. Dwayne Greer, cousins of the bridegroom.

The bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted by the bride's aunts: Mrs. Susie Coleman, Mrs. Pat Coleman, and cousins: Caroline Bennett, Ansley Grier, English Crosby, Kitty Collins, and Heather Coleman. It was held at the home of Barbara Coleman, also an aunt of the bride.

The rehearsal dinner was hosted by the bridegroom's parents at the Capital City Club.
