The Richland County Public Library has received a $54,000 grant from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. The funds will allow RCPL to replace 36 older computers located throughout its 10 locations.

The Columbia Star received the Big Apple Award from the Historic Columbia Foundation in recognition of its significant media coverage of local stories that highlight the people, places, and progress of Columbia and Richland County.
