Miss Long and Mr. Ellis marry in Rockport, Maine

Ashley McCaa Long and Benjamin Hunting Ellis were married August 19, 2006, in Vesper Hill Children's Chapel in Rockport, Maine at 6:30 pm. The double-ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Kevin Pleas. Music was provided by harpist Mary Chamberlin.

The bride is the daughter of Debra and Charlie Rountree and Kenneth and Cyndi Long. Her maternal grandparents are Lois Nolan Roseborough and Boykin and Pat Roseborough. Her paternal grandparents are Eugene and Lorraine Long. The bride graduated from Ridge View High School and Clemson University with a bachelor of science degree. She is employed by Parker Poe Adams and Bernstein in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The bridegroom is the son of David and Nicki Ellis of Holden, Maine. His maternal grandparent is Elmer Hunting of Brewer, Maine; his paternal grandparent is Marion Groves, also of Brewer. The bridegroom graduated from Brewer High School and Dartmouth College with a bachelor of arts degree and Wake Forest University School of Law with a juris doctor. He is employed by Culp Elliott and Carpenter in Charlotte, North Carolina.

The bride was given in marriage by her father, Kenneth Mark Long. She wore a Mikaella strapless gown of satin and organza. The gown had a ribbon around the waistline and hem with a chapel train.

The maid of honor was Rebecca Elaine Long, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Cheryl Elaine Crockett, Erin O'Neal Elfert, Jill Marie Smith, and Amy Melinda Birch.

Brian Ellis, brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. The groomsmen were Jason Seavey, F. Bradley Christof, Luke Gentilcore, Michael Scott, and Michael Angel.

A reception was held at The Youngtown Inn with dinner and dancing. After a honeymoon to St. Lucia, the couple will reside in Charlotte.
