Karen L. Gieselman

David K. Stewart is the new chief financial officer of the Providence hospital system. As the new chief financial officer, Stewart will be responsible for the hospitals' financial operations including general accounting, revenue cycle (admissions and billing), HIMS, managed care, information systems, financial planning and analysis, reimbursement and supply chain (materials management).

Amy L.B. Hill , an attorney with Sowell Gray Stepp & Laffitte, has been selected for the 2006-2007 class of Leadership Columbia.

Dr. Angela Liese , a researcher at USC's Arnold School of Public Health, is the lead author of the study Search for Diabetes in Youth. This the nation's first study to examine the prevalence of type 1 and type 2 diabetes in youth of all major ethnic groups. Researchers have found that one in every 523 children and adolescents in the US has diabetes.

Karen Luchka Gieselman and Jennifer Sease have joined Fisher and Phillips LLP.
