Petal Pushers meet at Bridgepointe
Katherine Matthews was the hostess for the September meeting of the Petal Pushers Garden Club at her lovely Bridgepointe penthouse which overlooks the river and showcases the Columbia Skyline. The interior decorating was exquisitely done with wallpaper from Spain, a grand piano which was a special gift from her late husband, a bed previously owned by Donald Trump, and beautiful art work. Co-hostesses were Dorothy Strickland and Joan Heard, who along with the hostess served delicious refreshments. Special guests were Belinda Matthews, Donna Resseguie and Mary Mungo. Shirley Smith gave a very interesting program on birds complete with audio. Margaret Glenn presided at the business meeting. The yearbook for 2006-2007 was admired and thanks were given to Margaret Glenn and her committee. the cover was an original painting by Bernice Folsom. Pam Able was elected asa new member. A memorial honoring Corinne Brown was given to the Memorial Garden. The next meeting will be October 19 at the home of Louise Grooms.
