Governor Joseph West Chapter meets at New Orleans Restaurant

The Governor Joseph West Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, held its fall meeting at the New Orleans Restaurant, Tuesday. September 26, 2006, with eight members in attendance and two prospective members. A member of the chapter, Mrs. Burton B. Gale, presented the program which was a biography of the group's namesake, Governor Joseph West.

Members were reminded that this chapter, along with the Fort Congaree Chapter, are the sponsors of the General Assembly which will be held February 24, 2007, at the Columbia Country Club in Blythewood. The speaker for this Assembly will be Vice-President Frankie Cline from West Virginia. Ideas and plans will be forthcoming at the anniversary celebration in December.
