Theodora Doukas Dalonas 1931-2006
Mrs. Dalonas died Friday, September 29, 2006. Born in Columbia, she was a daughter of the late Eustratios and Alexandra Lambrakos Doukas. She was a graduate of University High School where she received numerous scholastic awards and sang with the school choir. She also attended USC. A lifetime member of Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Mrs. Dalonas was a past board member of Daughters of Penelope and St. Katherine's Philoptochos Society; member of Maids of Athens; and past member of the church choir. She enjoyed painting, singing, music, dancing, and was a lover of animals. A beloved wife, mother and grandmother, she is survived by her husband of 47 years, James E. Dalonas; son and daughter-in-law, Gregory George and Jan Fogle Dalonas of Greenville; daughter and son-in-law, Deidre Dalonas Kleckley and John T. Kleckley III of Columbia; sisters, Evelyn Pulos of Columbia, Tula Phaturos of Leechburg, Pennsylvania, and Pauline Vainas of Columbia; and granddaughter, Athena Alexandra Kleckley, on whom she doted. She was predeceased by her brother, George Frank Doukas.
