Mimosa Garden Club meets

Members of the Mimosa Garden Club held their organizational meeting September 26, 2006, at the home of Mrs. Pam Cohen. Co-hostesses were Mrs. Caroline Aughtry and Mrs. Gloria Rhodes.

Officers for the year 2006-2007 are Mrs. Nancy Ryan, president; Mrs. Caroline Aughtry, first vice president; Mrs. Tina Forsthoefel, second vice president; Mrs. Sandra Eudy, recording secretary; Mrs. Bess LaMontagne, corresponding secretary; Mrs. Uta Valpey, treasurer; Mrs. Mary Gussie Jessel, parliamentarian; and Mrs. Pat Hick, ex officio.

Committee chairmen gave reports and the projects committee described plans for three areas of service to the community in the coming year. The program areas are the Epworth Children's Home Girls Blossom Club, Pacific Park, and the Women's Shelter.

Plans have begun for the Mimosa Garden Club's annual fundraiser auction which supports the projects of the club. The auction will be held November 14, 2006.
