Richland County has famous people working on Election Day

Talk about a star-studded lineup of election workers on Election Day in Richland County. You may walk into your precinct to vote and see the likes of Vanessa Williams (former Miss America), Maxine Brown (R & B singer), Charles Bronson (actor), James Brown (soul singer), and Fred Rogers (Mister Rogers Neighborhood).

In reality these are poll workers who share the same name as their famous counterparts and will be performing only their official duties as poll workers in their respective precincts on Election Day.

Richland County will be using some 1400 persons as poll workers in the 110 precincts in the county and even though Vanessa, Maxine, Charles, James, and Fred share the names of the famous, they and the other workers with less famous names will be striving to make your election experience a good one on Tuesday, November 7 .
