Executive director of Shepherd's Center of St. Andrews retires

Linda F. Lovern has retired as executive director of the Shepherd's Center of St. Andrews after 16 1/2 years. Lovern, a native of Virginia, was hired in July of 1990, as the first paid director of the Shepherd's Center of St. Andrews. She moved to Columbia with her husband Ron from Lumberton, N.C. where she was employed with the city of Lumberton's recreation department as its senior citizen coordinator for ten years.
The Loverns live in Lexington. They have a 20-year old granddaughter, a 12 year old grandson, and a nine-year old granddaughter.
The Shepherd's Center of St. Andrews meets Tuesdays at Ashland United Methodist Church.
