Students complete financial planning curriculum

Midlands Technical College's fifth CFP Certification Education Program culminated with a graduation on October 26, 2007 at the Capital City Club in Columbia.

The intensive 18 month financial planning curriculum prepares graduates to sit for the national CFP Certification Exam while providing them with new career options and an expanded network of professionals in the financial planning community.

Students who completed the Midlands Technical College Certified Financial Planner(TM) program are Perry Rainey, Rusty Farrell, Katie Stokes, Stephen Pueblo, Michelle Cranford, Karl Lindquist, Hasan Ross El, and Roger Colchim. On the national certification exam, the Midlands Technical College CFP program, offered through Continuing Education, has a student pass rate of 70% which is about 15% points higher than the national average.
