John G. Creech

Greenville attorney John G. Creech of Ogletree, Deakins, Nash, Smoak and Stewart, P.C. (Ogletree Deakins) has been reelected as the chairperson of The Humanities Council of South Carolina and as General Counsel for the South Carolina Chamber of Commerce.

Robert E. "Bob" Davis , Richland School District Two's financial officer, is the recipient of the Association of School Business Officials International's 2006 Distinguished Professional Eagle Award. Davis will receive a check for a $2,500 scholarship to be given to a high school student of his choice.

Richland County Sheriff's Deputy Rony Maurice was presented with the South Carolina Correctional/Probation Association's President's Award for his professionalism, dedication and courage. The association gave him the award at their annual awards banquet in Myrtle Beach on November 9, 2006.

Jenkins Mann and Knowlton "Rip" Sanders have joined the law firm of Ellis, Lawhorne & Sims. Mann is the newest member of the firm's Litigation and Dispute Resolution Practice Group. Sanders is a member of Ellis Lawhorne's Business, Real Estate and Financial Practice Group.

Marion Davis , coordinator and lead instructor for the Clinical Massage Therapy Program at Midlands Technical College, was named 2006 Educator of the Year by the American Massage Therapy Association, S.C. Chapter. The association gave him the award at its chapter meeting at Winthrop College on November 4, 2006.

Vann Gunter , Midlands Technical College's Vice President of Continuing Education and Economic Development, received the 2006 Regional Leadership Award from the National Council for Continuing Education and Training, NCCET. Gunter accepted the award in late October at the NCCET national conference in Milwaukee.

David Pack

Robert D. Hazel of West Columbia and partner of the law firm of Moore, Taylor & Thomas, P.A. has been elected to the board of directors of the Federation of State Humanities Council. Hazel is only the third South Carolinian to serve on this national board.

Patsy Towery , director of the Center for Special Programs and Community Education at Midlands Technical College, has been named the outstanding Continuing Educational Professional of the Year for 2006 by the S.C. Association for Higher Continuing Education.

Nancy Graves was selected in a random drawing by Rack Room Shoes for an 86 second Shopping spree at Rack Room Shoes.

David Pack has joined AIG Technology as technical support specialist.

William J. "Buddy" Kosic has joined AXA Advisors, LLC as a financial professional and a member of the company's elite Sterling Group.
