Rachael Clark Amick and David Leslie Harris were married at 4 pm December 16, 2006, at Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church. The Rev. Jay Jay Ward performed the double ring ceremony. Music was provided by organist, Donald Cockrell; trumpeter, Keith Amstutz; flutist, Larry Clark, uncle of the bride; bagpiper, Glen Adams; and soloist, Suzanne Sloan.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Walter Eugene Clark Jr. Her grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Earle Kirkley and the late Dr. and Mrs. W. Eugene Clark. She is employed by Nova Information Systems.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Douglas and Marcy Harris of Greenville, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Emma Dodge Harrington and the late Jack Dodge of Spartanburg, South Carolina; and the late John “Jack” and Peggy Harris of St. Petersburg, Florida. He graduated from Wade Hampton High School in Greenville and from the University of South Carolina. He is the owner of NightCaps in Columbia.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an off white traditional silk strapless gown with an empire waistline. The matron of honor was Jennifer Fusco. The bridesmaid was Kaylee Amick, daughter of the bride.
Douglas Harris Jr., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man. The groomsman was Jeremy Amick, son of the bride. The ushers were Wesley Clark, brother of the bride and Douglas Harris III, nephew of the bridegroom. Caroline Phelps served as the acolyte and Mason Brandes, crucifer. The program attendants were Jeani Rae Clark and Casey Lee Clark, nieces of the bride. Guest register attendants were Mary Harris and Donna Harris, nieces of the bridegroom.
After a honeymoon to Asheville, the couple will reside in Columbia.
