The Lady Green Hornets started the new year a little short- handed arriving at Richland Northeast for a Tuesday January 2 match- up with only five players. Only three of those managed to score while six Lady Cavs racked up a total of 33 points leading to a 33- 8 Cavalier victory. The Lady Green Hornets did not score until the second period .

Richland Northeast improves to 5- 5 while C.A. Johnson falls to 0- 7.

Khrystyan Edens got the Cavs off to a fast start netting six of her nine points in the first period. Tarah Cotton came off the bench for Richland Northeast and scored six of her game- high ten points in the second half.

Dekima Mosley's four points led the Lady Green Hornets.

The Lady Cavs will host defending state champion Lower Richland at 6:45 Friday Jan. 5.
