Lady Blue Devils overcome by the inside and out game of the visiting Lady Shamrocks

1- 2- 3. Pass. Score. Shoot. The Eau Claire Lady Shamrocks (10- 2) made basketball look easy when they visited Dreher Tuesday, Jan. 9 and defeated the Lady Blue Devils (6- 3) 70- 31.

The Lady Shamrocks spotted Dreher a 10- 6 lead with 1:38 to go in the first period, then Janae Dickey's conventional three- point play cut the lead to one. After a Dreher turnover, Natalie Davis' lay- up gave the Shamrocks a lead they would never relinquish. Dickey's buzzer beating lay- up off a steal put the Lady Shamrocks up 13- 10 at the end of the first period and that was a sign of things to come.

The Lady Shamrocks outscored the Lady Blue Devils 57- 21 the final three periods.

Britani Martin's three three pointers in the second period helped open the lead to 37- 15 at the half. Her assists to Natalie Davis in the second half put the game out of reach for the Lady Blue Devils. Davis scored 18 of her game- high 27 points in the second half mostly from lay- ups set- up by Martin's passing.

Eau Claire's Britani Martin tries to drive around Dreher's Dahn Moses. Martin scored 11 points in the first half and spent the second half dishing to Natalie Davis in the paint to help her rack up 18 of her 27 points.
