This year's St. Patrick's Day Celebration in Five Points is right around the corner and promises to be as fun- filled as the previous 24 years. At 10 am on Saturday, March 17, 2007, music will fill the air as Devine Street is transformed into a sea of green as the St. Pat's First Citizens Parade gets rolling.

Now is the time to sign up for the parade. Apply online at www.stpatsinfivepoints.com. There is no entry fee to participate. Floats will be available to rent for $300. Each entry must follow the 2007 theme: St. Patrick's Day - We're On It! All entries should have music and enough Shamrock spirit to knock the socks off even the most unhappy leprechaun.

The parade will assemble at Dreher High School and travel the musical mile down Devine into Five Points. From there, the parade will wind its way up Saluda Avenue to Harden at the Five Points Fountain and will conclude at Food Lion. This route offers over one mile of free viewing outside of the festival and numerous blocks for those inside.

The deadline to enter is Feb. 24, 2007. No entries will be accepted after this date. Rules and guidelines will be mailed in early March along with the line- up information, which will also be posted on the website.
