Miss Buck and Mr. Cantey marry in Charleston, S.C.

Mrs. James Willis Cantey III
Susanne Tennent Buck and James Willis Cantey III were married November 11, 2006, in Grace Episcopal Church, Charleston, South Carolina. The Reverend Cannon J. Michael A. Wright performed the 7 pm ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Alton Buck of Charleston. She is the granddaughter of Mrs. Alton Woodrow Buck and the late Mr. Buck of Charleston.

The bride earned a bachelor of arts in communications from the College of Charleston and is a graduate of Ashley Hall. She is the managing member of ZAN LLC, an affiliate of Jupiter Holdings.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. James Willis Cantey Jr. of Columbia, South Carolina. He is the grandson of Mrs. Hugh Lee Sligh and the late Mr. Sligh, Mrs. James Willis Cantey and the late Mr. Cantey all of Columbia. He earned a masters degree in international business from the University of South Carolina, a bachelor of arts from The University of the South, (Sewanee, Tenn.) and is a graduate of Hammond School. He is a managing consultant with Blackbaud.

Mrs. Tiffany Lollis Boggs was matron of honor. The bride's attendants were Miss Leigh Childs Cantey and Miss Nancy Brooks Cantey, sisters of the bridegroom; Dr. Sara Elizabeth Richardson Adams; Elizabeth Gilchrist Ames; Mrs. Mary Ruth Blair; Mary Merritt Dempsey; Mrs. Margaret Anne Florence Siachos; Mrs. Katherine Austin Smith; and Mrs. Susanne Wolf Wimberly. The honorary bridesmaids were Mrs. Elizabeth Shortridge Childress, Mrs. Nicola Taylor Davidson, and Mrs. Julie Johnson Hudson. Elizabeth Weldon Barrineau was flower girl.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Edgar Alton Buck Jr., brother of the bride; Thomas Mikell Cantey; Gordon Alexander Haw; Albert Rhett Heyward IV; Dr. William McIver Merritt; James Kelly Nelson III; James Hannon Suddeth III; Peter Michael Dillon; and Benjamin Chrisman Suggs. James Hannon Suddeth IV was the ring bearer.

A rehearsal dinner was given by the bridegroom's parents at South Carolina Society Hall in Charleston.

A reception followed at the home of the bride's parents.

The couple honeymooned in Europe and now resides in Charleston.
