DaVinci Code , Magneto being knocked out by a cauldron, and a nancy pants Superman.
I counted a total of 18 movies that were spoofed including: Narnia , Harry Potter , American Pie , Mission Impossible , Star Wars, and Lord of the Rings.
Where they could find no movies to lampoon, the writers slipped in a bit of MTV ala Cribs and Punk'd to fill the gaps. A few commercials even provided fodder for the twisted creators of this film which is not necessarily a bad thing because in my opinion, the most enjoyable part of the movie was picking out the movies and shows that were being spoofed.
As I said before, although there were some funny moments, there were also some really gross moments, and then some that were just plain stupid or downright nasty!
Regrettable moments included a Michael Jackson- esque Willy Wonka that really gave me the willies (no pun intended). In the Nacho Libre spoof there was a scene involving Doritos and nose drippings I could have done with out.
Some parts were just nasty which I should have expected since this farce was written by the creators of Scary Movie and spoofed some pretty adult films. Several segments were so perverse they elicited a chorus of "ews" and "ugggs" from the audience.
The night with Aslo in the tent was just plain nasty and peeing Sudoku in the snow wasn't much better.
As in the segment lifted from Snakes on a Plane, some of the language was more than objectionable. Therefore… For foul language, poor taste, and overtly sexual themes despite a few cheap laughs, I rate this feature a grudging two stars.
As a family film it rates zero and was more deserving of an R rating than the PG- 13 it was generously awarded. If I had had the chance to do this over again I would have skipped this movie and spent my money and my afternoon on something else.
