Governor Joseph West Chapter, DAC meets

The New Orleans Restaurant was the setting for the annual business meeting of the Governor Joseph West Chapter, Daughters of the American Colonists, Jan. 23, 2007. Members heard reports from seven officers and four committee chairmen. Discussions were held concerning the upcoming S.C. State Assembly to be held Feb 24, 2007 at Columbia Country Club. This chapter is one of the hostess chapters. Mrs. Franklin D. Pierce and Mrs. Gary A. Benda will be designated delegates and Mrs. Jill Bauer and Mrs. Sam McCuen will be Alternates. Mrs Burton Gale and Mrs. Douglas Swanson will be delegates to the national General Assembly to be held in Washington, D.C., April 10 and 11, 2007.

The program followed the business meeting with a reading entitled "Your Place" from the book The Wonder of America by Derrie Johnson.
