Miss Bowers and Mr. Reed exchange vows in Camden, S.C.

Mrs. Andrew Cleveland Reed
Sara Katherine Bowers and Andrew Cleveland Reed were married at Grace Episcopal Church in Camden, South Carolina, February 10, 2007, at 6:30 pm. Rev. Douglas Lloyd Holmes officiated the double- ring ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bowers. Her maternal grandparents are Mrs. Roy Lee Faulks and the late Mr. Faulks. Her paternal grandparents are the late Mr. and Mrs. Edward Berry Bowers. The bride graduated from Hammond School and the University of South Carolina earning a BA in sociology. She is employed by Pulliam Morris Interiors.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Marvin Alf Reed of Wilson, North Carolina. His maternal grandparents are Mrs. John Scott Crabtree of Atlanta, Georgia, and the late Mr. Charles Cleveland Drennon Jr. He graduated from Hunt High School in Wilson and Hampden- Sydney college in Virginia with a BA degree in economics and history. He is employed by Towell, Reed and Associates in Camden, South Carolina.

The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an ivory tissue organza and English netting halter style mermaid gown. The gown had a rouched bust line, floral embroidered skirt, and a detailed pleated hem.

The matron of honor was Ruth Irvin Bowers, sister- in- law of the bride. The bridesmaids were Coles Olivia Brewer; Lindsay Grant Davis; Emily Chapman Faulks and Sara Watts Faulks, cousins of the bride; Elizabeth Moffett Hipp; Ainsley Robinson Johnston; Emma Louise Manning; and Lauren Peele Reynolds. The flower girl was DuPre Allston Eaddy.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Matthew Lee Bowers and Robert Ransom Bowers Jr., brothers of the bride; Charles William Dodson; Cameron Lee Henley; Robert Bradford Israel; Edwin Camper O'Neal; Marvin Alf Reed Jr., brother of the bridegroom; Ned Taylor Towell; and Harry Cooper Wilson III.

The greeters were Anna Stratton Eaddy, Elizabeth McMillan Eaddy, and Mary Anne Kleitches. Scripture readers were Matthew Garland Anderson III and Christie Cobb Jameson, cousin of the bride.

The reception was held at Springdale Hall in Camden. After a honeymoon trip to Maroma Resort in Mexico, the couple will reside in Camden.
