Members of the Columbia Riding Academy Hamilton Stables brought home 18 ribbons from the 20th Annual ASAC Horseshow March 15, 16, and 17, 2007, at the T. Ed Garrison Arena, Clemson, S.C.
Equitation class is where the rider's performance is judged while in showmanship. The emphasis is placed on the presentation of the horse and how well the rider controls the horse.
The horse ridden by Christine Harrelson, Carumba, was a rescue horse saved from the slaughterhouse. She was brought to Hamilton Stables and has been nurtured and rehabilitated into a lesson horse. This was her very first show, and she won first place.
