Miss Ramseur (Lindsay) attends book signing of former student
Dr. Dwight Cathcart, author of Ceremonies , was honored when his high school English teacher, Mary Ramseur Lindsay, showed up at his booksigning at the Happy Bookseller March 22, 2007. Lindsay, known at Dreher High in the 1950s as Miss Ramseur, came to critique her most ambitious student who was visiting Columbia from Boston to promote his recent book. She was pleased with excerpts of Ceremonies read by her former student and offered only minor criticism. Earlier in the day, Cathcart had read from his book to 30 of his fellow classmates in the Dreher High Class of 1957. He also read excerpts from his soon- to- be- published book entitled Race Point Light. (www.dwightcathcart.net)
