Youngster explores Cobra copter

Retired US Army Colonel Claude Lott of Camden (l) watches as Raymond Myers (in cockpit), grandson of Camilla and Mike Ferry of Columbia (c & r), explores a Bell Cobra helicopter. This machine was restored to parade condition by the Celebrate Freedom Foundation and was shown at the Columbia Downtown Owens Airport at last Saturday's joint Foundation and Chapter 242 of the Experimental Aircraft Association flying event. This very airframe was flown three- and- a- half decades ago in Viet Nam by Col. Lott.
