Miss Ellison and Mr. Hardin marry in Trinity Cathedral

Mrs. Harry Simms Hardin IV
Eleanor VanBenthuysen Ellison and Harry Simms Hardin IV were married April 14, 2007, at 6:30 pm in Trinity Cathedral. The Very Rev. Philip Conrad Linder performed the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Hagood Ellison Jr. she is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Clarence Marshall Kibler and Mr. James Hagood Ellison and the late Mrs. Ellison. She graduated from Heathwood Hall Episcopal School and Washington and Lee University with a BA in history. She is employed by Bank of America.

The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Simms Hardin III of New Orleans, Louisiana. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Lutz of Mobile, Alabama, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Harry Simms Hardin Jr. of New Orleans. He graduated from Isidore Newman School in New Orleans and Washington and Lee with a BS in biology. He is completing his third year at Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans.

The maid of honor was Mary Martin Walker. The bridesmaids were Elizabeth Kelleher Hardin and Allison Knowles Hardin, sisters of the bridegroom; Eleanor Elizabeth Kibler; Anna Belle Carroll Kibler and Sarah Rhett Kibler, cousins of the bride; Ruth Weaver Crawford; Sally Menge Liipfert; Elizabeth Walters Smith; Mary Ross Forman, Rodes Nash Bazzel; Kelli Marlene Carpenter; Dixie Anne Liles; and Leslie Diana Bogart.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Adger Gaillard Ellison and Andrew Strubing Ellison, brothers of the bride; John Louis Rotoni Jr.; Hilaire Dubertrand Lanaux III; Richard Henry Marshall Jr.; Brandon Brooks Berger; George Wogan Bernard; Elliott Raines Kyle; marc Haley McGee; Theodore Henley Jack Craddock; Jake Edward McAlister; Booth Gordon Samuels; and William Griggs Mealor II. The senior ushers were C. Marshall Kibler and E. Robertson Kibler, uncles of the bride, and A. Umit Taftali of Istanbul, Turkey.

Readers were Courtney Loehr Greene and John Pierce Owings.

A reception followed at Forest Lake Club. After a honeymoon trip to Jumby Bay, West Indies, the couple will reside in New Orleans.
