      Hammond's Ross Power returned to goalkeeper for the first time since pre- season and racked up 15 saves to help the Skyhawks knock off the Cardinal Newman Cardinals 2- 1 at Hammond Tuesday, April 17. The win was huge for the Skyhawks in several ways.

      The Heathwood Hall Highlanders took a big step towards the Region 2- 3A boys tennis regular season championship by defeating the Hammond Skyhawks at Hammond 5- 4 Tuesday, April 17. The victory did not come easy though.

      Asbury Memorial United Methodist Church held its third annual scholarship golf tournament at Fort Jackson Golf Club Monday, April 16. Sixty players from Columbia, S.C.; Ga.; and N.C. participated in the modified captain's choice tournament.
