Dr. Ted Wachter was removed from the principalship of Rosewood Elementary School Friday, April 27, for reasons within his control. Taking over for the long time controversial administrator was Zoë Mueller, a third grader at Rosewood, the daughter of Trish and Rayne Mueller.

Miss Mueller gave the morning announcements over the PA system, then set out to patrol the halls. After quieting the restless students, she devoted some time attempting to solve the "Mystery of the Lost Wal- Mart Gift Cards."

In order to get a handle on the media, Miss Mueller paid a visit to the offices of The Columbia Star . An indepth conversation with Dr. Warner M. Montgomery, the publisher, gave her a full understanding of how to manage the public image of her school.

The new principal and the "old" principal had lunch at Birds on a Wire. She hated not having lunch in the Rosewood Cafeteria, but she felt getting Dr. Wachter out of the school was more important.

After a tour of Hand Middle School, where she gathered considerable information for her future education, she returned to Rosewood. On the afternoon announcements, she praised the Rosewood students for the dedication they had shown in classes that day. She also thanked the teachers for their service to the school. Then, she resigned and turned the job back over to Dr. Wachter.
