Andrew Mathis, vocals; Konrad Mugglestone, bass guitar; Stephen Taylor, electric guitar; and Walid Yaghy, percussion; drew enthusiastic applause during their performance of Led Zeppelin covers at the A. C. Flora High School Talent Show.
The A. C. Flora High School audience members thought they'd come to a typical high school talent show. But as the line of gospel singers, dance performances, and musicians came to an end on Wednesday night, there was a final surprise in store - a performance by "Led Zeppelin."

The audience cheered wildly as four students, dressed as members from the famous band, stepped on stage. Seniors Andrew Mathis (vocals), Konrad Mugglestone (bass), Stephen Taylor (electric guitar), and Walid Yaghy (percussion) decided to complement their performance with long-haired wigs, head bands, and some good acting.

"They were so perfect," laughed Hannah Stevenson, an audience member. "They stayed in character the whole time."

The group played Nobody's Fault but Mine , How Many More Times , Whole Lotta Love , and The Ocean . The loudest cheers came when Stephen Taylor, in imitation of Jimmy Page, played his electric guitar with a violin bow in the Whole Lotta Love interlude. The band finished to a standing ovation and cries of "One more song!!!"

And while the "Led Zeppelin" performance seemed to be the crowd's favorite, it was just one of several talented performances. Others included students' renditions of songs from Dream Girls , Singin' in the Rain , Rent , and Evanescence . There was a self- choreographed dance performance as well. The annual talent show filled about half of the auditorium, and the money from ticket sales went to the dance and music department.
