Bishops from around the world meet in S.C.

Bishop Mary Virginia Taylor, (c), who leads the S.C. United Methodist Annual Conference, welcomed more than 100 United Methodist Bishops from around the world to a semi- annual meeting in Myrtle Beach, S.C. April 29- May 4. Key elements of the agenda focused on the denomination's global role. The denomination has a mission presence in 120 countries around the world. The meeting opened with a memorial service at Belin Memorial UMC in Murrells Inlet where The Rev. Dr. Mike Alexander is pastor. He last served at Washington Street United Methodist Church.
