Miss Ahern and Mr. McDermott plan a June 2007 wedding

Ms. Glennie Ahern and Mr. Michael Ahern announce the engagement of their daughter, Inez Glenn McLaurin Ahern to Steven Thomas McDermott.

The bride- elect is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Fowler and Mr. Dan Ahern and the late Mrs. Ahern of Taylors, South Carolina. She graduated from Lexington High School and will graduate from the University of South Carolina with a BS in elementary education this spring.

The bridegroom- elect is the son of Mr. and Mrs. William McDermott. He is the grandson of Dr. and Mrs. Frank Espey of Greenville, South Carolina, and Mrs. Richard McDermott and the late Mr. McDermott. He graduated from Dutch Fork High School in Irmo, South Carolina, and the University of South Carolina with a degree in history. He is employed by CMC.

A June wedding is planned in Lexington.
