Thanks to an innovative fundraising plan and generous sponsors, Columbia Classical Ballet's LifeChance 2007 performance generated a donation of over $5300 for Children's Chance, the pediatric cancer support group.
Carolina Care Plan, Fisher Communications, and an anonymous sponsor each pledged $1 for every seat sold to LifeChance, the annual benefit performance staged by artistic director Radenko Pavlovich and Columbia Classical Ballet. With a record attendance of over 1,700, the donation to 2007 beneficiary Children's Chance totaled $5324.
"LifeChance has long been an artistic high point for the community, and we're working to make it a charitable high point as well," said Kevin Fisher of Fisher Communications, founding sponsor of the program. "We hope to top $10,000 in 2008 with additional seat sponsors. Please call us at 252-1221 if your company would like to participate."
