Ambassadors visit The Columbia Star

Dalen Mickle (r) and Gabriel McFarlen (l), both seven- years- old, earned their communication requirement for their Tiger Badge with a visit to The Columbia Star . The boys, members of the Tiger Cub Scouts pack 200 at North Springs Elementary School, were very interested to learn about the production of a newspaper. The Scouts toured The Columbia Star, watched as a mock paper was put together, and learned about the paper's distribution. Mickle wanted to know how some of the pictures were in black and white, while others were in color. Mickle and McFarlen will receive their badges at a ceremony Saturday, May 19, and will head for a camping trip at Sesquicentennial State Park. The boys are looking forward to becoming Wolves next year.
