Miss Reading and Mr. Martin exhange vows May 12

Mrs. Marshall Braddoch Martin

Amanda Caldwell Reading of Columbia and Marshall Braddoch Martin of Barnwell, South Carolina, were married Saturday, May 12, 2007, at First Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Dr. Sinclair Buchanan Ferguson and The Rev. David Wayne Turner officiated at the 6 pm ceremony.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Harold Reading II, is the granddaughter of Mr. Tucker Fisher Dana and the late Mrs. Dana, and Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Harold Reading. The bride is a 2007 graduate of Presbyterian College with a BS in biology. She will be continuing her education at the Medical University of South Carolina in the occupational therapy program.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Lowery Martin Jr. of Barnwell, is the grandson of Mrs. Everett Lowe Sharpe and the late Mr. Sharpe of Leesville, South Carolina, and Mr. and Mrs. Marshall Lowery Martin Sr. of Barnwell. The bridegroom is a 2006 honor graduate of Presbyterian College with a BS in business administration. He is continuing his education at the Medical University of South Carolina in the masters of health administration program.

The maid of honor was Mary Robertson Reading, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Virginia Gail Atkinson, Laura Christine Cline, Sarah Brittany Gardner, Kathryn Anne Gregory, Jennifer Elizabeth Jordan, and Katherine Rose Thomas. The honorary bridesmaids were Katherine Cook Bryant and Laura Kathleen Carmody.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Robert Manning Martin, brother of the bridegroom; John Hardin

Reading, brother of the bride; Daniel McMeekin Caldwell Jr.; John Thomas Camp; Tyler Benjamin Holley; Adam Gatlin McCollum; and David Elwood McCuen IV. The ushers were William David Burress, Alexander Dorn Mark, and Ryan Michael Reese.

A reception followed at Forest Lake Club.

After a wedding trip to the mountains of North Carolina, the couple will reside in Charleston, South Carolina.
