Dartmouth College is part of the prestigious Ivy League.

Scott was recognized recently at a special awards presentation in the main chamber of the State House by Rep. Jim Harrison (R- Richland), Chair of the House Judiciary Committee, and Rep. Joan Brady (R- Richland), Co- chair of the Women's Majority Caucus. Sen. John Courson (R- Richland), Chair of the Senate Education Committee, also presented Scott with a resolution adopted by the State Senate.

Scott was recognized and cited in H. 3322 and S. 393 for serving as Hammond School's 2007 Class President and President of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA); a member of Hammond's Academic Honor Society; Homecoming King; a member of Hammond's Upper School Chorus; a Best All Around Senior; and for his accomplishments on the football field.

Scott had 132 tackles in 2006 and is Hammond's all- time leading tackler with 431. He was chosen as the SCISA Defensive Player of the Year by numerous statewide news organizations and publications, and was a Midlands area finalist for the 2007 College Football Hall of Fame Foundation Student- Athlete award.

Scott is the son of Ron and Debbie Scott of Columbia. He has an older brother, Robert, who is a senior at the Florida State School of Law, and a sister, Jordan, a recent summa cum laude graduate of USC serving as a public relations specialist for the Chernoff Newman Agency.
