Mary Elizabeth Victoria LaFrage Tisdale of Irmo and James Henry Mills III of Chapin were united in marriage March 24, 2007, at Bethesda Presbyterian Church in Camden, South Carolina. The Rev. Ben Sloan of Lake Murray Presbyterian Church performed the double- ring ceremony. Music was provided by organist, Bo Dickenson; David Santiago, trumpeter; and Mrs. Austin C. Shelley, vocalist and flutist.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. James Leland LaFrage Sr. of Camden. She earned a master's degree in elementary education and an additional master's degree in early childhood education, both from the University of South Carolina. The teaches fourth grade at Chapin Elementary School.
The bridegroom is the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Henry Mills of Sumter, South Carolina. He received two master's degrees in music education from the University of South Carolina. He retired from teaching and is currently an educational representative for Star Music Company.
The bride was given in marriage by her father and mother. She wore an ivory dress and carried a bouquet of red roses and coffee berries. The maid of honor was Ashleigh Mills of Greenville, South Carolina. The matron of honor was Mrs. Michelle Mills of Chapin. The flower girls were Casey and Sarah Wetherell. The ring bearer was Preston Hendricks of Chapin, grandson of the bridegroom.
The honorary couples were Jimmy and Becky LaFrage, Pat and Debbie Mills, Christopher and Elizabeth Mills, Laura and Ben Compton, and Elizabeth Mills and Pascal Brocheny.
Brian Mills served as best man. The ushers were Sam and Jack LaFrage of Camden.
A reception was held at John Knox Hall of Bethesda Presbyterian Church. After a wedding trip to Rome, Italy, the couple will reside in Chapin.
