Miss Leadbitter and Mr. Allen wed at the Mitchell House April 21

Mrs. Richard Hamilton Allen
Sarah Elizabeth Leadbitter and Richard Hamilton Allen were married at the Mitchell House and Gardens in Lexington, South Carolina. The double ring ceremony took place April 21, 2007, at 7 pm. Music was provided by the Columbia Strings.

The bride is the daughter of David Alan Leadbitter and Elizabeth Martin Koin, both of Columbia. Her maternal grandparents are James H. Martin and the late Martha S. Martin of Rock Hill, South Carolina. Her paternal grandparents are the late Wilbur H. and Carrie Mae Leadbitter. The bride graduated from A. C. Flora High School and the University of South Carolina with a degree in hotel, restaurant, and tourism management. She is the assistant manager at Moe's Southwest Grill in Columbia.

The bridegroom is the son of William Harold Allen of Daytona Beach, Florida, and Mary Ann Clarke of Columbia. His maternal grandparents are Lloyd Carlton and the late Juanita Carlton. His paternal grandparents are Barbara Allen and the late William H. Allen Sr. The bridegroom graduated from Belton High School in Belton, Mousouri. He is a touring professional bowler; a two time national champion; exempt for the 2007- 08 season.

The bride wore an elegant white chiffon empire A- line gown that featured an embroidered bodice with beaded lace trim, a split front detailed skirt and a sweep train. The two- tier fingertip length veil was edged with satin ribbon and accented with a rhinestone, crystal, and pearl cluster comb.

The maid of honor was Anna Leadbitter, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Laura Field of Orlando, Florida; Adrian Comer of Rock Hill, South Carolina; and Syndi Joyner of Florence, South Carolina.

William Leto of Bush, Louisiana, served as best man. The groomsmen were William Allen of Dayton Beach, father of the bridegroom; James Leadbitter, brother of the bride; and Ronald Block.

After a honeymoon to Disney World in Orlando, Florida, the couple resides in Columbia.
