Miss Johnso n and Mr. Baker exchange vows May 12, 2007

Mr. and Mrs. Aric Mark Baker
Brittany Lynn Johnson of Columbia and Aric Mark Baker of Lexington were married Saturday, May 12, 2007, at Rosewood Baptist Church. The Reverend James Watterson performed the 4 pm ceremony. Linda Harris, cousin of the bride, was the soloist.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Mark V. Johnson of Columbia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. James L. Brayboy and Mr. & Mrs. Real V. Johnson both of Columbia. She is a graduate of Dreher High School and attended Midlands Technical College. She plans to attend Columbus Technical College in the summer pursuing a degree as an ultrasound technician.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Gary Shaw of Lexington, South Carolina, is the grandson of Mrs. Vivian Hovatter and the late Mr. Kenneth Hovatter of Ohio and Mr. & Mrs. James Shaw of Aiken, South Carolina. He graduated from Lexington High School and is serving in the United States Army in Columbus, Georgia.

The bride wore a white dress with a halter neckline, a beaded bodice and a chapel length train. She was escorted by her father.

The maid of honor was Whitney N. Johnson, twin sister of the bride. Ale- cia D. Wilkins, cousin of the bride, and Kimberly D. Wadford served as bridesmaids. Winter P. Coulter, cousin of the bride, served as flower girl. Shannon P. Baker, sister of the bridegroom, and Christopher S. Wilkins, cousin of the bride, served as acolytes, and James Staley Coulter, cousin of the bride, served as the ring bearer.

Gary A. Shaw, stepfather of the bridegroom, served as best man. The Ushers and groomsmen were James Corey Johnson, brother of the bride, and Richard Withrow, cousin of the bridegroom. Christopher S. Wilkins also served as an usher.

A reception followed at the Joe E. Mann Center on Fort Jackson.

The couple resides in Georgia.
