Lucy Lancaster Currie and John Anderson Folsom were married August 4, 2007, at Trinity Presbyterian Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Rev. David Burns and Rev. William Bouknight performed the double- ring ceremony.
The bride is the daughter of Dr. and Mrs. Overton Anderson Currie of Atlanta, Georgia. She is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Joe Edward Lancaster of Columbia, Tennessee, and Mrs. Overton Anderson Currie and the late Mr. Currie of Atlanta. She graduated from The Westminster Schools in Atlanta, Georgia. She received a BA in human organization and development from Vanderbilt University. She is employed by Sassafrass Marketing Inc.
The bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John William Folsom of Columbia, South Carolina. His grandparents are the alte Mr. and Mrs. Walter Ray Johnson of Columbia, and Mr. and Mrs. John Roy Folsom of Columbia. The bridegroom attended Hammond School. He received a degree in U.S. History from Washington and Lee University and a juris doctorate from the University of South Carolina School of Law. The bridegroom is an attorney with Alston and Bird in Atlanta.
The matron of honor was Tyler Currie Wynne of Atlanta, sister of the bride. The bridesmaids were Meghan Taylor Blackmon; Elizabeth Stembler Chamb- liss; Katie Folsom Eaddy, sister of the bridegroom; Welby Lauren Grubb; Mary Megan Howard; Christine Anne Keeley; Katherine Conway Plomgren; Caro Carpenter Smith; Mimi Verner Stricker; Kimbrell Smith Teegarden; and Kay Taylor Weathers.
The flower girl was Emma Graham Eaddy, the bridegroom's niece, and Catherine Allen Olsen.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Overton Anderson Currie III, the bride's brother; Ryan Faulks Eaddy, the bridegroom's brother- in- law; Marc Haley McAfee; Jake Edward McAlister; William Reece McWilliams III; William Griggs Mealor; Bryan James Lumpkin; Julius Andrew Mood; Richard Braden Morse; Nathaniel Long Reynolds; Cameron Wilkes Smith; Mikell Baynard Whaley; and Robert Carlton Wynne Jr., the bride's brother- in- law.
After a honeymoon to The Maldives, the couple will
reside in Atlanta.
