Miss Kerrigan and Mr. Scott marry in Tallahassee, Florida

Mrs. Robert Marion Scott
Darby Rose Kerrigan and Robert Marion Scott, both of Tallahassee, Florida, were married August 4, 2007, at Wesley United Methodist Church at Frederica in St. Simons Island, Georgia. The Rev. Frank Beall performed the 5 pm service. Music for the ceremony was provided by organist Scott Hamilton Atchison, cousin of the bridegroom, and trumpeter William Anderson Hammett.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Gordon Kerrigan of Pensacola, Florida, is the granddaughter of Mrs. Cullie Bascomb Stewart Jr. of Parrish, Florida, and the late Mr. Stewart and the late Mr. and Mrs Robert Wedge Kerrigan of Milford, Michigan. She is a graduate of Choate Rosemary Hall and the University of Colorado with a BA in International Affairs and Spanish. The bride has a juris doctor degree with high honors from the Florida State University College of Law. She will begin a clerkship with the Hon. Robert T. Benton of the First District Court of Appeal in Tallahassee later this month.

The bridegroom, son of Mr. and Mrs. Ronald Charles Scott of Columbia, South Carolina, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Marion Leonard Whaley of Columbia, and Mrs. Robert Claude Scott Jr. of Florence, South Carolina, and the late Mr. Scott. He is a graduate of Hammond School and a magna cum laude graduate of Wofford College with a BA in Spanish and business. The bridegroom is currently in his third year at the Florida State University College of Law where he is a Dean's List student and a member of the Mock Trial Team. He recently completed a sum- mer clerkship in the Office of the South Carolina Attorney General, Hon. Henry D. McMaster.

The matrons of honor were Sharon Lenore Kerrigan and Mrs. Hank Lawrence Hutchinson, sisters of the bride. The bridesmaids were Jordan Whaley Scott of Columbia, sister of the bridegroom; Mrs. William Thomas Paulk II of Mobile, Alabama; Mrs. Jonathan Trapper Pendleton of Bowling Green, Kentucky; Catherine Ryan Pulliam of San Francisco, California; Maria Danielle Staymates of San Francisco; and Penelope Elizabeth Tucker of Pensacola, Florida.

The father of the bridegroom served as best man. The groomsmen were Carter Whaley Scott of Columbia, brother of the bridegroom; Blake Hansford Cleveland of Charleston, South Carolina; William Merritt Collins of Columbia; Michael McDonald Davis of Columbia; Kristofer Douglas Knock of Charlotte, North Carolina; Hunter Vance Linville of Tallahassee; and John Clint Wallace of Tallahassee.

The flower girls were Camille Marie LaRocca and Isabel Rose Hutchinson, nieces of the bride. The junior groomsman was George Kerrigan Hutchinson, nephew of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at The Cloister, Sea Island.

After a honeymoon trip to Lake Louise, Alberta, Canada, the couple will reside in Tallahassee, Florida.
