Team Oana United Client Appreciation Night

Michael Oana is the Chief Investment Officer with Team Oana Investment Advisors. Team Oana is a locally owned boutique investment firm specializing in helping conservative investors. Mr. Oana's Toucan Talk column appears bi- weekly in The Columbia Star.

Thank you for the great opportunity to educate and enlighten you on various investment topics over the last couple of months. However, in this issue we are going to break away from our regular format to take a moment and say thank you.

On Saturday, we will host our annual Toucan XII Open House. Toucan stands for Team Oana United Client Appreciation Night. We have been hosting this event for over 11 years, and August 18th will be our 12th annual event. Bill McDaniels and Jeff Rubin of McDaniels Porsche are kind enough to host this year's party.

I want to thank each member of my team for their help with the event. Tina, Staci, Pete, Seth, and Todd have done a great job with coordinating all of the details. Staci, our public relations director, has done a great job and our clients will be amazed.

Our theme this year will be "Vegas Nights." Our guests will wear their favorite 70's disco attire, and Phil Urban, an Elvis impersonator, will sing the night away. Lauren Schlueter of the Savory Chef has been hard at work planning our Lucky 7 Prime Rib Buffet. Hal Saxby of Espresso - Etc! will provide the coffee, while Tom Shofner of Palmetto Gems will provide the "bling bling." We are also flying in a special guest, the 37th ranked Flair bartender in the world, to perform for our guests.

Robert Sox, of WineStyles, will serve his best Nevada wine, and after dinner, our guests will play bingo for prizes. One lucky person will win a three night stay at the Planet Hollywood Aladdin Casino in Las Vegas, courtesy of Eileen Nason of Carlson Wagonlit Travel.

Also, I would like to thank Jonathan Smith of Collins Printing along with Aurora Young of the Babcock Center for their help with our invitations. A special thanks to my friend Amy Kinard, Andy Wheeler and Brian Leeper for all of their help.

In addition, I would like to thank all of our investment partners for their contributions that will make this event great! We couldn't host the party without their help.

Next, we would like to say thank you to all of our teammates and vendors for their hard work. Thanks especially to Meredith Bragan, my sister (I forgot to mention her in my first column), and the rest of my family, which I have failed to mention due to lack of space within this column.

Most importantly, I would like to take a special moment to say thanks to my wife Heather. She has listened to my ideas about this event for over two years, and I appreciate her input and support.

Finally, we appreciate our spectacular clients that make this event possible. We look forward to seeing them all August 18th at 6:37. Once again thanks - in the next issue we will get back to our regular format.
