      Warm socks for a soldier who spent the day on his feet in cold, wet boots is what the knitters of Columbia Presbyterian Community got together to provide for U.S. troops in Afghanistan. They provided a bonus as well: a short note of encouragement and prayer, along with the name of the knitter.
