Miss Landers and Mr. May marry September 22, 2007

Amy Michelle Landers and Jon Christopher May, both of Columbia, South Carolina, were married September 22, 2007, in the Washington Street United Methodist Church Sanctuary. Pastor Denver Cavins performed the 2:30 pm ceremony.

The bride, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Alvin T. Landers, is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. David A. Landers, of Atlanta, Georgia; and Mrs. Mildred Baxley Evans and the late Mr. S. E. Evans of Columbia, South Carolina. The bride graduated from Lander University in 1998 and the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 2001. She is an Attorney with Rogers, Townsend and Thomas, PC in Columbia.

The bridegroom, son of Mrs. Jo Ann Martin and the late Mr. Hollis Roy Martin of Lebanon, Indiana, and Mr. and Mrs. Jon D. May of Brownsburg, Indiana, is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Jack May, of Largo, Florida, the late Ms. Vivian Daley of Indianapolis, Indiana, Ms. Eleanor Morton, of Maitland, Florida, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Herbert Z. Gorman, of Indianapolis, Indiana. The bridegroom graduated from Vincennes University in 1993 and is an Aircraft Maintenance Foreman with Mesa Air Group, Inc. based in Columbia.

The matron of honor was the bride's sister, Pamela Landers- Helms. The flower girls were Allison Audrey Helms and Ashley Elaina Helms, nieces of the bride. The honored guests of the bride were Sarah Linley Clingman, Micah L. Currier, James A. Hensley, Stephanie E. Greenhill, Kristine L. Kirkland, Amy E. Macchiaverna, Francesca Macchiaverna, Thomas K. McDonald, Amy Thomas Rowley, and Emily Suzanne Tryon.

David Pygman served as best man. The ring bearer was Jake Cummins. The honored guests of the bridegroom were Matthew Bowman, Aaron Coppock, Jack Cummins, Ty Green, Alan Harvey, Michael Laeder, Bruno W. Moebius, and Roger C. Starrett.

A reception followed at the Seibels House and Gardens. After a honeymoon to Coronado Island, California, the couple will reside in Columbia.
