Hall gets revenge on Skyhawks

Heathwood Hall's Cleveland Covington (l) and Lauren Armstrong won both their singles and doubles matches to help defeat Hammond.

The Heathwood Hall Highlanders avenged an earlier 7- 2 loss to Hammond by defeating the Skyhawks 5- 3 at Heathwood Hall Tuesday, September 25.

The match was tied at 3- 3 at the end of singles play, but the Highlanders dominated the doubles.

The Skyhawks conclude region play with a double match against St. Josephs, and matches against Cardinal Newman and Ben Lippen. The Highlanders finish with Cardinal Newman, Augusta Christian, and Ben Lippen.

If Heathwood Hall and Hammond have identical region records at the end of the season, the teams will face off in a playoff match to determine the region champion. Heathwood Hall 5,Hammond 3
