DAR regent pays tribute to fallen heroes

On
August 17, 2007, a monument was dedicated to fallen patriot heroes at the site
of the Battle of Musgrove's Mill. Among 23 wreathes laid at the monument was one
placed by Regent Faye Pender representing the William Capers Chapter of the
National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution. The battle was
fought August 19, 1780, and was a decisive victory in the struggle for American
Independence.
