Explorers tour Ossabaw Island

This past weekend, members of the Greater Piedmont Chapter of the Explorers Club toured Ossabaw Island, a 29,000- acre barrier island south of Savannah. The Heritage Preserve island is owned by the State of Georgia and managed by the Ossabaw Island Foundation for cultural, scientific, and educational purposes.
Explorers attending were Dorothy Kendall, Ed Kendall, Warner Montgomery, Billy Moore, Ginny Newell, Marion Rice, Nena Rice, Ginnie Saunders, Linda Sosbee, Janie Stancyk, Steve Stancyk, Jim Welch, Bob Wilkins, Jacob Wilkins, and Peter Wilkins.
