Former principal wins in art show

      The South Carolina Watermedia Society's 30th Annual Awards Exhibition is on display at the Spartanburg Art Museum, 200 East St. John St., Spartanburg, SC through November 5. The top 30 paintings received $ 9,500 in awards and will tour the state for a year.

CJDS first in Midlands to obtain new accreditation

      The National Association for the Education of Young Children recently re- accredited Columbia Jewish Day School (CJDS). To earn the new accreditation, CJDS had to satisfy 400 accreditation criteria, up from 120 during the last re- accreditation process.
