Big Mac gives Hilton Head Prep indigestion

Heathwood Hall's Mac Whalen stepped in for his injured brother Brett at quarterback to help defeat the visiting Hilton Head Prep Dolphins 56- 18 on Homecoming October 5. Brett averaged 152 yards passing and 91 yards rushing and accounted for 17 touchdowns in six games this season for the Highlanders.

That's a tough act for anyone to follow especially a little brother, but in his first start, Mac completed 13 of 19 passes for 213 yards and two touchdowns. He also rushed 17 times for 70 yards and three more touchdowns.

Running back Will Kennemur rushed 21 times for an astounding 276 yards and two touchdowns.

The Highlanders improve to 6- 1 (1- 0) and will travel to arch rival Hammond next for a game that could decide the region champion.
