Trinity Episcopal Cathedral's 59th Annual Bazaar to be held November 3 The 59th Annual Bazaar of Trinity Episcopal Cathedral is set for Saturday, November 3, from 10 am- 3 pm on the cathedral grounds, 1100 Sumter St. One of the largest in the Southeast, the bazaar will include a sidewalk exhibit of art by regional and local artists, a children's carnival, some of the Midlands' best barbecue and more than 15 booths featuring homemade baked goods, needlework, holiday decorations, clothing. The bazaar is sponsored by the women of the church, the Daughters of the Holy Cross. All net proceeds go to outreach. Most of the proceeds go to five local non- profit agencies chosen each year from nominations. The remaining funds go to standing missions and a small grants fund. Last year, over 45,000 was raised. This year the five local agencies are Children's Garden, Cooperative Ministry, Salvation Army, St. Lawrence Place and Young Life. New features this year are an extension of the Wee Tots booth, which will sell beautiful used clothing for little ones, a Cathedral Stars designed from the stained glass windows of the cathedral and altar marble left when the cathedral altar was moved. |
